Alright, so it’s about time that I make another website post. You all have probably been wondering where the heck Azure was. Well, I was right here. To be completely honest, I am not that interested in running a server anymore. The problem is that what once was fun, is now stressful, a guilt, costly, and just overall a burden. It’s not so much that I don’t like Minecraft anymore, it’s just that I don’t want to run a server anymore. That said, I am not necessarily going to close ‘r down quite yet. I don’t even know if I want to close it down. Part of me does, part of me doesn’t. I frankly don’t know what to do. So until I decide what is best, I’m just not going to touch the server. I don’t expect you all to understand, I didn’t understand when I played on servers that got shut down. You really get a whole new perspective when you are the one running the server, and I’m not sure how to explain it. Just want to let you guys know kind of what I was thinking, and I wanted to say DO NOT DONATE TO THE SERVER. I don’t want you guys to be paying for something that you might not have for very long.
If you got any questions or something to say PM, Steam message, or drop em’ in the comments.
I’m going to be completely honest. The server bills are getting a bit expensive. No, the prices haven’t changed. It is just a matter of me wanting to spend less money so I can put it to other things. I’ve sort of just kept it a secret in the past, but I will me flat out. The server costs a little over $7 a month. This includes the server itself, domain & website, and the dedicated server port (so you don’t need to enter a number after the IP). I will still put a little of my money towards the server if need be, but I would like to start getting donations to help me out. If you cannot donate, I understand. Please do not feel obligated. But if you would like to help (and get some cool perks) donations are very appreciated. I am also open to adding more perks to donor ranks, message me if you have any suggestions (nothing too overpowered).
Thanks, have a nice day!
Happy 4th of July to all you in the United States! To celebrate, everyone may use /kit firework! And come to spawn to see the amazing firework display, and drinks on the house!
After 4 hours of pure frustration, the server is finally updated to 1.6. Some plugins are not updated yet, and YES there will be bugs. Do not take advantage of any bugs, report them. Currently the only world open is the survival world. Enjoy!
So I got a few things to talk about, so I’m gonna put it all in one post.
Majority of people have voted for the map to be reset for the 1.6 update. I have not decided yet, but I think we will also reset the PVP world. Reason being is because if we don’t, we run the risk of everybody bringing their survival inventories over to the PVP world so they can bring it into the new map. If you have any feedback on that, please let me know while I’m online the server
So 1.6 is coming soon! I am going to completely rebuild BlueCraft from the ground up. We will be starting with a Bukkit fork called Spigot. It is designed to make servers run with less lag. So it may take some time for me to get BlueCraft ready for the 1.6 update. So we will probably still be running 1.5.1 for around a week after 1.6 releases. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We are open for applications! Read more about that here!
That’s about all! Have a nice weekend!
I want to know what you’d think about a map reset. We have had this map since 1.4.7, and I think it is time for a change. And with 1.6 coming, it will allow us to take advantage of all the features. It will also solve some of the lag issues. Cast your vote below. If you have any questions message or email me.
Should we reset the map for 1.6?
We now support Bitcoin payments in the BlueCraft store. If you are not familiar with Bitcoin, it is an online currency. But unlike most world currency, there is no central government, and works on peer-to-peer payments. Of course, we still accept PayPal, since that’s what is most common.
Now that the website is up and working pretty well, the only big thing I have to do is implement the new minigames. But I am looking for some suggestions for what I should add. If you have an idea, please submit it to the “suggestions” forum.
I’ve decided to make a few changes to BlueCraft, that will take effect soon. People will no longer be required to sign up on the website to do most things. People who are not registered will still be called “Visitor”, and site members will still be called “Member”. The only thing that Visitors cannot do is enter the creative world. Reason for that is pretty obvious.
